About

Juliann Nichols was born and raised in Kansas City. She began her professional life as a disc jockey while still in high school, and expanded her resume with various experiences while attending Emporia State University. Upon her return to Kansas City, she launched her first business, LCS Investigations. As CEO/Chief Investigator she soon held one of the largest private investigation services contracts issued by the State of Kansas. She grew that company for 14 years before selling it and moving on to her next adventures, including working as a business development executive for both private industry clients and community organizations. Also during that time, Juliann launched BBOK-Nichols LLC, a full line of custom-made handbags for sale in upscale shops and boutiques.

She founded JULO Strategy in 2007, after perceiving the need for a proactive business advisor who challenged the status quo. Her commitment to the success of others is also present in her passion for her charitable and community endeavors. She has sat on many advisory boards including Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Power Stories Theater, Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses (FAVOB), Women’s Business Center, Startup Champions Network, and various Chamber of Commerce organizations around the country.

Juliann’s lively sense of humor, warm personality, and astute head for business has led her to be sought after as an expert consultant in personal and business branding. Her ability to problem solve and overcome challenges has deepened her impact as an innovative strategist and mentor.

Juliann lived in Florida for several years with her beloved late husband, Bruce, and travels frequently to cities across the country including Kansas City to be near her two children and three grandsons. Juliann currently works with local non-profits, continuing her lifelong dedication to service for others.
